Hi! My name is Volker Bosseler, I am a 40 year old physicist from Aachen, Germany. I studied physics at the Technical University of Aachen and finished my studies with a diploma in physics in February 2001. Subject of my diploma thesis was 'Diodengepumpter, hochrepetierender Femtosekunden Verstärker' (all-solid-state, high repeating femtosecond amplifier). I did the diploma thesis at the Fraunhofer Institut für Lasertechnik (ILT).
After my studies I decided not to continue working as a physicist. At the moment I am employed as a IT security specialist at a big european insurance company.
My hobbies are riding my motorbike, running, skiing and photographing. I live in the city of Herzogenrath , a few kilometers north of Aachen.
